MICHAEL J. HICKEY, MD is the Director of the Hinsdale Center for Reproduction. He received his undergraduate degree, a BS in Psychology, from Georgetown University. Dr. Hickey received his medical degree in 1984 from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. From 1984 to 1988, he returned to Georgetown University Medical Center, where he served as an intern and resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. During this time, he earned the Resident Research Award.
From 1988 to 1990, he performed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California Medical Center. He served as President of the National Society of Reproductive Endocrinology Fellows for the 1989 to 1990 term. Dr. Hickey is certified by and is an active fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Hickey is married and a father of three. When he is not at the office, you can find him on his sail boat.
SUZANNE KAVIC, MD Dr. Kavic received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Tennessee and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saginaw Cooperative Hospitals in Michigan. She completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, where she remained as the Director of Egg Donation. Dr. Kavic has also served as the Clinical Program Director at the Jones Institute at West Penn Allegheny Health System in Pennsylvania. She is board certified in both Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, along with Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Kavic is a fellow of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Dupage County Medical Society. She has written and/or co-written more than 20 publications and abstracts. Her research interests include polycystic ovarian syndrome, perimenopause, menopause, advanced reproductive age, and infertility. She volunteers with Health Right International in New York, which is committed to preserving human rights worldwide.
Dr. Kavic and her husband enjoy riding horses and spending time with their small menagerie of cats and turtles.

JIANJUN ZHU, PhD, HCLD is the Director of Embryology and Andrology at the Hinsdale Center for Reproduction. Dr. Zhu was born in Beijing. He received his Bachelors Degree at Peking Medical University. His PhD was earned at the University of Sheffield in the UK.
After serving as a visiting scholar at the Institute of Animal Physiology and Genetic Research in Cambridge, he worked as the Senior Clinical Andrologist and Embryologist at the London Gynecology and Fertility Center in London.
Since JJ joined us in 2001, he has allowed us tremendous success with patients ranging from those who require little laboratory intervention, to those who require in-vitro fertilization and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI). Cases once thought to require the expertise of the university hospitals are now safely and confidently handled in the privacy and comfort of our facility. JJ is married and has two children.
ANN BARTLIT HICKEY, RN, MS
Education:

1990 Certified Lactation Educator, UCLA Extension Program
Experience:
Ann has worked as a staff nurse and nurse manager in numerous labor and delivery settings, including Rush Medical Center, Prentice Women’s Hospital, Carle Foundation Hospital and Georgetown University Hospital. She has also served as a clinical instructor in labor and delivery for nursing students.
Ann is a certified childbirth educator and lactation consultant. She served as a Perinatal Education Coordinator in Los Angeles where she developed and implemented courses in prepared childbirth and breastfeeding.
Ann joined the staff of the Hinsdale Center for Reproduction in 1993 as Clinical Manager and staff nurse. She is the current President of the Hinsdale Hospital Medical Staff Auxiliary. She is married and has three children

SUSAN HEIDKAMP, RN, BSN
Education:
1978 Bachelor of Science in Nursing, St. Mary's College, Indiana
Experience:
Sue has worked as a staff nurse and nursing preceptor in numerous hospital settings. A majority of her nursing career was spent at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in orthopedics and spinal cord trauma. At Loyola Hospital in Maywood, Sue worked in the ER trauma and Surgical ICU/Open Heart units. Sue also spent many years as an educator at The Robert Crown Health Center in Hinsdale, in the areas of sex and drug education for 5th-12th graders.
Presently, Sue divides her time between being the IVF Coordinator at the Hinsdale Center for Reproduction, which she joined in 2001, and working as a staff RN in the recovery room of Hinsdale Hospital. Sue is married with four children.
STEPHANIE EVANS, RN, BSN
Education:
1986 Bachelor of Art and International Business in French, Ohio Wesleyan University
1995 Bachelor of Science in Nursing, West Suburban College of Nursing
Experience:
Prior to entering the nursing field, Stephanie was employed with Fidelity Investments as a broker. While business was an interesting field, nursing had always been Stephanie’s passion. After enrolling in West Suburban College of Nursing, she excelled in her classes and obtained her nursing degree. Initially she became employed with Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove working in the skilled nursing and the post partum/nursery departments.
In 2000 she joined the team at Hinsdale Center for Reproduction. Stephanie is married with three children.
